The law for cohernet regional development envisages mutual cooperation and coordination between the national and local levels in order to promote coherent regional development. It thus defines a mechanism for the implementation of regional development programmes.
The Agreement for the development of the region is a bilateral implementing act, with which the Regional Development Program is being implemented by determining key regional and sectoral projects for overcoming development obstacles in the region and the development specialization of the region, as well as sources for financing. When included in the agreement, priority is given to the projects that help to achive the development specialization of the region. In accordance with the Regional Development Program 2021-2027, 12 key projects have been included in the Agreement for the development of the Zasavje region and will contribute to the sustainable development of the region. The projects are confirmed by signing the Addendum to the Agreement for the development of the Zasavje region.
Agreement for the development of the region is valid until the end of the period of the included projects or by replacing it with a new Agreement for the development of region.
The invitation to regional development councils to prepare and sign Agreement for the development of the region for the 2021-2027 programming period was published on 30 June 2023.
18.186.667,69 EUR is planned for the Zasavje region in the 2021-2027 program period for projects included in the Agreement for the development of the Zasavje region.
