The purpose of the project is to revive craft and handcraft activities by activating a vulnerable group of ninth-graders, who will present professions in an innovative way through digitalization and thereby increase interest in craft and handcraft activities. The implementation of the project enables the preservation and revival of the craft and handcraft activities of the Zasavje region, the promotion of craft professions and handcraft activities, the recognition of the intangible cultural heritage potential and countryside, the improvement of the position of Zasavje region artisans and craftsmen, the strengthening of the connection between the countryside and the city center, and the intergenerational transfer of knowledge.
 
The leading partner of the project is the Zasavje Regional Development Agency, while the project partners are the National Hero Rajko Hrastnik Elementary School, the Tončke Čeč Elementary School Trbovlje, the Tone Okrogar Zagorje Elementary School, the Hrastnik Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Trbovlje New Media City Association.
 
Project activities:

• Implementation of the introductory and final professional excursion
• Organization of working groups, preparation of methodology and procurement of equipment
• Implementation of the digitization of handcraft and craft activities
• Implementation of the final event organized by the Trbovlje New Media City Association
• Promotion and dissemination of project results 

The project will be implemented from September 2022 till June 2023.
 
Financial support of the project
The project is implemented within the framework of the 5th Public call for the selection of operations for the realization of the objectives of the Local Development Strategy of the Zasavje LAS Partnership. The operation will be implemented with the help of funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
