In the time period from June 2018 till the end of December 2018 the RDA Zasavje participates in two projects that affect the field of social activation of long-term unemployed. The projects are being implemented in municipalities Trbovlje and Hrastnik.
Both projects are coordinated by SOCIO – Public institution for social care activities from Celje and within each of them two 6-month programs will be implemented. By the end of the year 2018 each program will include 15 participants, all together in each municipality 30 participants.
The Zasavje region is allocated 186.000,00 € for the implementation of both projects. The projects are partly funded by the European Union, from the European social fund. The coordinator applied to the public tender published by the Ministry of labour, family, social affairs and equal opportunities within the Operational program for the implementation of the European Cohesion policy 2014 – 2020, the 9th priority axis Social inclusion and poverty reduction, 9.1. priority investment Active inclusion, including promoting equal opportunities, active participation and improving employability, 9.1.2. specific objective Empowering target groups to move closer to the labour market.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The key objective of the project is that coordinators, in cooperation with associated partners, develop and implement social activation programs and through their measures and activities in a comprehensive way contribute to solving the problem of social exclusion and the risk of poverty for persons from target groups in the municipalities Trbovlje and Hrastnik.
PROJECT ACTIVITIES
Activities of both projects will be directed towards the development and implementation of social activation programs and integration with other programs in the field of social activation, social security, health and employment programs. Social activities program will provide social skills and knowledge to people from target groups, increase their motivation, develop functional skills for active social issues and empower them to enter the labour market.
The role of RDA Zasavje, as an associated partner in the project, is to identify the issues of people from target groups, the possibilities of their involvement in the activities of RDA Zasavje, to connect with different stakeholders in local environment and to identify the possibilities of further integration.
The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Social Fund.
