Regional Mobility Centre Zasavje (RMC Zasavje) operates under the aegis of the Regional Development Agency Zasavje and is one of ten such centres in Slovenia. It contributes to the development of sustainable mobility on local and regional level.
 
It has connecting, advisory and developmental role – it promotes more accessible, environmentally friendly and connected forms of mobility that improve the quality of life of the Zasavje region residents. In cooperation with municipalities, state institutions and other stakeholders, it develops measures, strategies and solutions in the areas of public passenger transport, cycling, walking and integrated transport planning. RMC Zasavje is also an active partner in promoting the European Mobility Week, organizing awareness campaigns and finding answers to the challenges of transport exclusion in the region.
 
Mission of RMC Zasavje
The mission of RMC Zasavje is to promote sustainable mobility in the Zasavje region that has a diverse transport structure, dispersed settlements and challenging terrain. By connecting the municipalities of Hrastnik, Trbovlje, Zagorje ob Savi and Litija, cooperation in planning accessible, safe and environmentally friendly transport is strengthened. RMC Zasavje promotes sustainable mobility by introducing innovative solutions that reduce environmental impact and improve transport connectivity in the region, as it will ensure connectivity between urban centres and rural areas, support the development of cycle routes, improve public transport services and encourage the use of multimodal forms of transport. RMC Zasavje strives for effective coordination between the municipalities of Zasavje region, the state and local communities and provides support with planning, implementation and promotion of integrated transport strategies, as it creates the conditions for a cleaner, safer and more accessible transport system that supports prosperity through the active involvement of residents.
 
Vision of RMC Zasavje
RMC Zasavje will strive to establish an integrated and sustainable transport system in the Zasavje region, which will improve mobility, connectivity and the quality of life of the region's residents. By promoting sustainable forms of transport, innovative solutions and inclusive policies, RMC aims to become a leading centre for the promotion of sustainable mobility. Key values are environmental responsibility, social inclusion and technological progress. RMC will strive to reduce emissions, optimise transport connections and encourage active community involvement in shaping a sustainable transport future of the Zasavje region.
